Level 8 introduces a high-impact power mechanic that can completely change the outcome of a match. In this stage, every player receives a single special power that allows them to erase one opponent energy node from the arena. Timing and restraint are critical, as this power can only be used once per player.
The game follows classic Energy Link rules with timed turns and strategic placement. Players alternate turns placing their energy symbol while racing against a strict countdown timer.
Each player has access to a one-time special power. When activated, this power removes a random energy node belonging to the opponent, instantly freeing that position on the board.
Using the power at the right moment can disrupt a winning chain or create a sudden opening for victory. However, once used, the power is permanently consumed, leaving no room for regret.
When the power is activated, the arena flashes briefly to signal the energy disruption. Sound effects reinforce every action, including taps, power activation, wins, and draws.
To win Level 8, a player must successfully connect three energy nodes in a valid pattern. When a winning sequence is formed, an energy beam is drawn across the arena and the match ends immediately.
If all nodes are filled and no valid energy link is formed, the game ends in a draw. A unique draw sound is played to clearly distinguish this outcome from a win.
This level rewards patience and punishes impulsive decisions. A single power activation can completely reverse the game state, making Level 8 one of the most unpredictable and tactical stages in the Energy Link series.
Can a player use the power more than once?

No. The power only affects opponent energy nodes.
Can the power cause a draw?

Is power usage mandatory?
No. Players may choose not to use their power at all.
